Flight Archery Workshop (Riverside Archers, Ryton)

Flight is one of the many disciplines of archery not frequently shot in this country, so subsequently there is little knowledge about it out in the archery community.  Archers are invited to come along to Riverside and learn about the different aspects of Flight and have a go at the shooting technique, using supplied flu-flu arrows. (for safety, no other arrows will be allowed on the range during this workshop)

A Flight competition is a very relaxing,  unpressured and really enjoyable day out,  particularly so if a few archers from the same club compete,  and these days don’t we all want fun events to look forward to?

Intended for those who have never tried it before, or just want to know more about the ins & outs of this different form of shooting,  we are also encouraging coaches to come along who are unable to gain the knowledge about flight through the normal coaching channels – to add another ‘string to their bows’

The day will cover information about the Range,  Equipment, Scoring, Rules (yes there are some!), Safety and how to shoot your bow to try to achieve distances that you’ve never shot before, which after all is what it’s all about. After the restrictions of target and even clout shooting, flight can be positively ‘liberating’

Whilst there is no attendance fee a small voluntary donation, at the end of the day would be appreciated to cover the rent of the field.  Serve-yourself drinks will be available for most of the day.

If you would like to come along and join us, please email us,  as soon as possible, at:- RIVERSIDEARCHERYCLUB@GMAIL.COM. We will endeavour to acknowledge every registration,  so if you haven’t heard from us within a couple of days,  send another email.
