Introducing: Junior Representative – Paul Clarke
Paul has an impressive professional background in fine art and design that has taken him around the world, but his happy place is the outdoors and forest crafting with his wife and 3 children. After covid, Paul and his son Tristan finally got to join a beginners course at a field archery club and Paul later joined Assheton Bowmen where he became records officer and a qualified coach in order to give back to the sport.
Paul lost his beloved Mother to cancer in 2023, this was a huge loss and one of many over the last decade leaving Paul facing a significant challenge to his mental health. He credits the sport as a “huge island of support” that he did not expect and this is when he started thinking of archery as more than just a hobby or pastime.
Paul volunteered for the NCAS Junior Representative role because he saw an opportunity to share this inclusive sport with young people and help them build healthy and sustainable life habits that will support their physical and mental wellbeing into adulthood.
Welcome to the team Paul, we can’t wait to see your vision become a reality!
