The 'Tassel' award scheme.

The Tassel Award for Clout archers has been operative for some years now. First introduced in 1996 within the boundaries of Northern Counties and later adopted by GNAS nationally. Although the scheme is nationally run, Northern Counties Archery Society administers the scheme and issues the awards.

From January 1st 2005 - The ‘new’ Tassel Award qualifying scores will be as follows:

For a Tournament to obtain ‘Tassel Award Status’ they must apply to the Scheme Administrator at least 6 months before the event. The fee that is levied is 50 pence per archer entered and is payable following the shoot. This therefore enabling the organiser, should they wish to, to pass the charge onto the archer.
