Summer Archive: - June, July and August Update 18th August - The region would like to thank Durham and Northumberland and Killingworth Archers who acted as hosts to this years Grand Northern Archery Meeting. The results and awards information is posted on this site now as three individual pages of information. It was also noticed that previous winners have no mention once the trophy, cup or plate is passed to the next county. I intend posting the names of all KNOWN winners onto this site as a tribute to their efforts. I may have some names missing but the list was compiled from the engraving on the items. Although the lists are completed it will take some time to format for the site but these will become available from a menu entrypoint. Update 5th July - Slight 'tinkering' with club names for Yorkshire. Update 28th June - The entry form for the N.C.A.S. clout shoot at the start of September ( a 'word' document ) is available from the calendar of events. This now becomes version 4.0. Update 24th June - Brief report from meeting at Wetherby. - Some time ago a question was raised concerning the original funding of the 'Clout Tassel' award and the recovery of any costs to set up the scheme. After some work examining the accounts the following was determined. The scheme was set up initially with two payments in total £669-75. The first payment was made on 26-4-1996. As the 'tassel' scheme is now financially self supporting this original 'loan' is to be recovered back into central funds. The English Archery Federation - The federation has it's own web site and you should be encouraged to look there for information on both the 'Cross' scheme and selection criteria. It is still planned to extend the 'cross' scheme but purchase of a suitable award is still in the planning stage. A request has been received to consider 'Inter' regional competition. As a result a sub-committee has been formed which will have a remit to consider both Senior and Junior Inter Regional matches. After the 'ArcheryUK' mention of a change in the insurance cover for coaches, the N.C.A.S. Coaching Officer is to provide a 'Parental Consent Form' for posting on this web site. Providing the coaches ensure that this form is completed for all children under their guideance and adhere strictly to the G.N.A.S. protection policy it is believed that risk to our coaches will be minimised. When the form is completed it will be announced in this section. I have also been promised the results of the N.C.A.S. Postal League which was administrated by Sandra Vives-Lynch, the 'Ranking List' for our juniors and also the results of the N.C.A.S. Field Shoot. As before, once these are received then I shall post the items and report in this section. The committee is to offer a donation of £1000 to the organisers of the Field World Championships due to be held in Wales in 2008. Update 2nd June - Entry form links to the DNAA County Championships and British Record Status FITA are now available from the'events calendar'. Now version 3.9. |
